ITEP1220 - Inclusive Driving Simulation for NH

Description

Currently disabled drivers who use adapted vehicles are unable to participate in any National Highways driving simulations we are therefore unable to gather valuable feedback and insight from a vast and diverse group. We know that disabled people take on average 38% fewer journeys. This is known as the transport accessibility gap. Closing this gap is a stated aim of the Government and is identified as a key goal within our Access and Inclusion Approach. This has been identified as a priority need as part of NH’s Access and Inclusion Approach, recognising that existing simulation studies do not meet our public sector equality duty
