How we handle personal data when you use TenderStead.

Data controller: TenderStead. Contact: hello@tenderstead.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and a hashed password.
  • Preferences: the filters, regions, CPV codes, and value ranges you save.
  • Subscription details: your plan, status, trial dates, and Stripe customer ID.
  • Correspondence: messages you send to us.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and request times in standard server logs.

Payment card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

Why we use it

  • To create and run your account, provide search, and send daily digests (contract).
  • To take payments and manage subscriptions (contract).
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix faults (legitimate interests).
  • To meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data or send third-party marketing.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe, for payment processing and subscription management.
  • Our email delivery provider, to send account and digest emails.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the service and its database.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep account and preference data while your account is open. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes (normally six years after the end of the relevant tax year). Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Email hello@tenderstead.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
