EU-UK WFD Alignment Project

Description

The Groundwater Task Team (GWTT), a specialist working group under UK Technical Advisory Group (UKTAG), needs to establish the impact of future regulatory alignment and the potential move towards improved integration with EU on the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) and Groundwater Directive (2006/118/EC), including proposed changes. The project will undertake a strategic review of the differences between EU and each UK Administration with regards to WFD and Groundwater Directive to identify any significant gaps, conflicts or overlaps, and then detail the scale of changes needed for each UK Administration to ensure compliance.
